Zenith Residence
The Concept
The Zenith Residence was conceived as an extension of the Malibu coastline, blurring the boundaries between the rugged natural landscape and sophisticated living spaces. Our approach was guided by a desire to capture panoramic views while maintaining a profound sense of intimacy and shelter.
Materiality
A restrained palette of board-formed concrete, weathered steel, and locally sourced warm cedar allows the structure to age gracefully into its environment. The materiality was chosen not just for aesthetic appeal, but for its resilience against the coastal climate.
Construction
Engineering the cantilevered infinity pool required anchoring deep into the bedrock, executed over a challenging 14-month phase. The structural integrity was meticulously tested to harmonize with the delicate topological constraints.
A Living Monument
The final structure stands as a testament to our core philosophy—where every sightline is a curated frame, and every material choice tells a story of its origin.
